In the advanced stage of our training program, lasting approximately six to seven months in addition to the basic Gundog program, we elevate your retriever's skills to a level that will make you the envy of all your hunting buddies. Here's what's involved in our advanced training program:

Multiple Retrieves: Your retriever learns to watch and memorize the fall of multiple birds in the field, retrieving them efficiently and effectively.

Blind Retrieves: This is the cornerstone of the advanced training program. Your retriever is trained to take hand and whistle signals, allowing you to direct them to the fall of a bird they didn't see.

Diversions: During a hunt, if another bird is shot down while your retriever is returning from a retrieve, they are trained to finish the initial retrieve before going after the diversion bird.

Walk-ups: Whether jump-shooting a duck pond or walking a fence line for doves, your retriever is trained to be steady to shot, ensuring they don't scare the birds or break before being sent to retrieve.

Honoring: It's essential to teach your retriever that not every fallen bird is theirs to retrieve. We train them to 'honor' another dog's retrieve, maintaining discipline and respect in the field.

Our Advanced Program also prepares your retriever for the advanced levels of hunt test programs such as AKC (Senior and Master), ensuring they are ready to excel in any hunting or competition setting.
